Considering formal study in the field of herbal medicine? The Master Herbalist Program was founded in the 1980s by Rev. Paul Beyerl, author of The Master Book of Herbalism and the Compendium of Herbal Magick. For over 30 years, students in the MHP have studied the use of herbs for healing within the 100-unit program Rev. Paul created. The MHP is a self-paced study program overseen by Program Administrator Kathi Bonnabel and culminates in a certificate of completion. Students take, on average, one month to complete the reading, writing, and hands-on requirements of each unit but highly motivated students can complete units more quickly.
